While the importance of girl’s education in the advancement of community and society has been realized, gender discrimination is still rife in Nepal; disparities exist in access to education, healthcare and employment. The high rates of domestic violence, early marriage, prevalence of trafficking in girls demonstrate the unequal status of women in society. Among others, a major challenge in girls’ education is low participation and high drop-out rate. There is an increased need to bridge the imbalance between male and female education. And we aim to address this imbalance by promoting women’s education in Nepal and advocating for more and more girls to go to the school and stay there until they finish their education.
